The Cancer Project is an ongoing, non-profit photography project initiated by SkySight Photography's Autumn DeLellis.

The project's goal is to inspire and empower those with cancer, and those who will battle cancer in the future, through the photographs and personal narratives of 15 current cancer patients.

Each project participant is photographed in the same way - in high-contrast black and white, using primarily natural light.  To accompany their photos, each participant authors a first-hand narrative of their journey with cancer.   Ultimately, the end-product of this process will
be comprehensive project book, containing all the participant's photos and stories.

The project began in July 2010 and in November of 2011 reached its goal of 15 photographed participants.  Currently, the project has moved into its secondary stage, of story collection and book design.

Throughout its growth, the project was featured in various local news articles and gallery shows.  In the future, Autumn plans to exhibit the complete project in additional galleries.  If you would like more information on exhibiting The Cancer Project, please contact us.
